Welcome to Delta Sigma chapter of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, founded at The University of Mississippi. Our chapter is committed to sisterhood, values, ethics, high academic standards and social responsibility. Our open motto "We live for each other," encompasses the foundation upon which Alpha Delta Pi was founded.
In 1851, Alpha Delta Pi became the world's FIRST secret society for collegiate women, setting the foundation for the entire sorority system as we know it today. Originally known as The Adelphean Society, Alpha Delta Pi was founded on May 15, 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia. Since its establishment, our sorority has expanded to more than 155 collegiate chapters throughout the U.S. and Canada, and has proudly initiated over 260,000 members.
Through every accomplishment, every setback, and every new experience, our sisters find comfort in the sisterhood of our chapter. Alpha Delta Pi is a home that fosters potential in young women, a place where our sisters are constantly creating unforgettable moments and sharing memories. Our ADPi sisterhood is a friendship that goes beyond the four years of college. It is a bond that cannot be matched, full of never-ending trust and love. From the moment our sisters step onto our lawn on bid day, they become part of our family forever. With every accomplishment, disappointment, and new experience, ADPi’s know they can count on their amazing sisters to be by their side. Alpha Delta Pi prides ourselves in knowing that our memories, friendships, and traditions will continue long after the days at the University of Mississippi; they will last a lifetime. Alpha Delta Pi is truly a home away from home for every ADPi sister, as it is always filled with smiles and laughter. Alpha Delta Pi is more than a sorority it is a lifetime of sisterhood!
